"Breakin' Mozart" is the passion project of opera director and conductor Christoph Hagel, which he brought to life together with the two-time breakdance world champions from DDC Entertainment. The DDC, who have already performed with Will Smith and in front of Barack Obama, are known as true masters of their craft. They combine their explosive moves with the timeless elegance of Mozart's music, performed live by a pianist and orchestral versions.
The audience can look forward to a fascinating crossover firework display in which the elegant sounds of the piano mix with booming beats, funky Mozart and rocking Amadeus. The choreographies of the DDC dancers are a visual spectacle that interprets the drama and joie de vivre of Mozart's compositions in a completely new way. Whether to the "Magic Flute" or the "Little Night Music" - the performance is a feast for the eyes and ears that delights both classical music lovers and breakdance fans alike.
Since its premiere at the Mozartfest Würzburg in 2013, the show has continued to develop and has already enjoyed great success throughout Europe. The continuing interest and the sold-out houses testify to the timelessness and ingenuity of this concept.
