Bring Your Own Song Night - die Songwriter-Open-Stage

"Bring Your Own Song Night" is a regular open-mic event at the Pony Bar, specifically for songwriters of all kinds who want to perform their original material in front of an attentive audience of fans of handmade music.

Every first and third Monday of the month starting at 8 p.m., we welcome musicians to the stage, each of whom performs a maximum of two of their own songs. Whether you don’t often perform your own music in front of an audience or simply want to try out some new songs and connect with other musicians, the stage is open to everyone—from newcomers to professionals. Our event is all about the song—not about how someone sings, plays, or looks, but about what they have to say to the world through music.

Free admission, and the audience is encouraged to sit down, relax, and listen quietly. We want to create a pleasant atmosphere where songwriters feel that their art receives the attention and appreciation it deserves. Another goal is to support and connect local musicians in general, especially those who share a passion for songwriting and depend on the music they write themselves. At the same time, we strive to keep the event as open and international as possible, so traveling songwriters from all over the world—singing in all kinds of languages—are more than welcome!

The evening will be opened and hosted by folk and soul artist Jon Kenzie from Manchester.

Registration for musicians: No prior registration is necessary—just stop by around 6:30 p.m. on the evening of the event. Performers will take the stage in the order they sign up. Although duos and trios are welcome, full bands with drums are not permitted. An acoustic guitar and amplifier can be provided. Feel free to ask any further questions via Instagram.
