Broken Brass - Funk, Afrobeat & Brass Power from the Netherlands
For almost 13 years, Broken Brass has been thrilling audiences with an explosive mix of funk, Afrobeat and New Orleans jazz and is now one of the most exciting live acts in Europe. What once began as an unconventional brass band in Friesland has developed into a formation that has played over 700 concerts in 16 countries and conquered stages such as Zwarte Cross, North Sea Jazz, Oerol, Eurosonic, Greenman Festival (UK), Secret Garden Party (UK) and Kendal Calling (UK). Other highlights include Paaspop, Festival Mundial, MadNes, Fusion Festival (DE) and the VH1 Festival (IN).

Whether as the "unwanted headliner of Into the Great Wide Open" (Volkskrant), on TV (DWDD, Talkshow M, Toppop) or on the radio (NPO2 Muziekcafé, Sublime, 3FM, BBC6) - Broken Brass remains true to their funky, energetic signature sound and is constantly developing it further. Whether club show, festival stage or in the middle of the audience: their concerts are pure energy.

New album, classic Broken Brass vibe
After an intensive phase of writing and experimenting, the new album "Dancing Critters, Random Shivers & Snap Decisions" will be released on January 23, 2026. The three-part work builds on their original sound while taking it to a new level.

• Dancing Critters: Summery, funky, groovy.

• Random Shivers: The band's strongest soloists are in the spotlight.

• Snap Decisions: infused with Brazilian influences - samba, baile funk and rap from the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.
