Songs for a better world

On the eve of May 1st, a concert entitled "Bread and Roses - Songs for a Better World" will take place again this year. Organizers are the KulturVerein Frauenstraße 24, the DGB Münster and B-Side Kultur e.V.. This year's performers include the duo Contraviento, the duo Cuppatea, Nedim Sahin and the songwriter Niki.

The artists in this year's program have chosen the motto "We will not be divided: International against racism and nationalism" for the evening. On the one hand, the theme is central to the concerns of May Day, but on the other hand it is also reflected in the composition of the entire ensemble - with roots in Germany, South America, Greece and Turkey. Accordingly, songs from many countries will be heard on this evening - against war and false domination, but also for love and solidarity.
