In the midst of the turning point, Jonas is offered a role. He is to play the editor-in-chief of a highly respected leading medium in a film satire entitled "Heartless". This journalist is a nasty fellow, an unscrupulous character without morals or decency, who only has his own advantage in mind, a doer who will use any means to get attention for himself and his medium. Untruths, half-truths, omissions and fake news are the basis of his success. After reading the script, Jonas comes on stage outraged and begins his new program "Shut up" with the exclamation: "I can't play this lousy asshole! This has nothing to do with satire."

Jonas asks himself self-critical questions: What is satire allowed to do? Really everything, or does it go too far and is it better to shut up? Practice self-censorship? What role is expected of him, not only in the movie, in reality, in public, in private, in the spectrum of opinions in this democracy: Is there ultimately a right life in the wrong one? What is right, what is wrong?

Jonas does not know whether he is still in the right frame of mind. He sees himself as a deviant and suffers as a result. "Do I still have the prescribed fears?" he asks himself. Unfortunately, his fear of the end of the world is still in the green zone. The thought of an energy policy blackout with a dark doldrums lasting several years, on the other hand, strangely frightens him. He is also increasingly creeped out by a diffuse fear when a new, supposedly woke spy mentality is on the rise in the "transforming society", with the help of which democracy is to be saved. Believing in the Easter bunny and the resurrection, on the other hand, seems more plausible to him than the realization of a European Good Border Controls Skilled Workers Immigration Bureaucracy Reduction Act.

But despite the global crises that are spreading, Jonas refuses to panic. More and more often, the cabaret artist decides against the new forms of freedom of expression: the "silent opinion", the "eloquent silence". The "keep your mouth shut". In the end, he has more and more reasons to take on the role of the asshole.
