Thriller author Tommy B. Brandl will present his new novel, *Die letzte Hoffnung* (The Last Hope), at a reading. The event will take place on September 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Café Clärchen in Velbert. Free admission, but advance registration is requested.
With “Die letzte Hoffnung,” Brandl presents his second major novel, set to be published in the summer of 2026. This climate thriller paints a bleak picture of the future in the year 2046, in which droughts, fires, and floods dominate daily life and climate change has long since become a global reality. At the center of the plot are UN climate policy maker Chloe Cortez and failed actor Jack Simmons, whose fates become intertwined in unexpected ways.
The reading at Café Clärchen, organized by Bücher & Biskuits, is part of a book tour during which Tommy B. Brandl will present his new thriller at various locations, including bookstores, cultural venues, and cafés.
