Buchvorstellung: „Brücke zwischen den Welten“

You are cordially invited to a special literary evening with the award-winning Ettlingen author Judence Kayitesi. On July 1 at 6:30 pm, she will be presenting her new book "Brücke zwischen den Welten" (Bridge between Worlds) at the Begegnungsladen Ettlingen. This novel is based on the short story with which she won the Storyteller Award at the Landesliteraturtage in Ettlingen in 2025.

In her novel, Judence Kayitesi tells the story of a mother who lives between two cultures - her home country and the country she now calls home. When her son asks about his roots, she has to confront her past and opens up old memories that she has long repressed. The book explores themes such as identity, belonging and healing. It shows how we can build bridges between past and future, pain and hope, and between different worlds of the heart.

The evening will be accompanied musically by two Rwandan singers, Josee and Ange, whose voices beautifully complement the atmosphere of the book.
