Bühne frei!

For over 35 years, the Hamburg State Opera has supported the work of the Deutsche Muskelschwund-Hilfe e.V.. As part of this collaboration, the ensemble concert Bühne frei! has been held for the benefit of the association since 2012.

The mission of Deutsche Muskelschwund-Hilfe e.V. is to help people with muscular diseases and their families to cope with everyday life and maintain their independence. To this end, the association offers, among other things, extensive counseling, self-help groups, and a free transportation service. In Germany, an estimated 150,000 people are affected by the still incurable disease muscular atrophy.
