Buntspecht is a six-piece band from Vienna. Founded in 2016 and since then in a steady process that always celebrates new musical sides. Film music for movies that do not exist, or children's songs for outgrown, atmosphere and ballad. Everything may. Everything should. Everything must! The pieces move between ecstasy and melancholy, sadness and mischievous grin, lack of perspective and utopia, life affirmation and always gnawing doubts. The group is known above all for the exuberant energy of their shows. Exhilarated and brute, somnambulistic and astonished, mocking and dreamy, the band has been creating its own sound over and over again in recent years - and with "Unter den Masken", coincidentally, also a pandemic hit. Currently Buntspecht are working on their 4th studio album, the first single from it - Majorelika - was released on 11.11.2022. From November 2023 the band will go on extensive club tour through the entire German-speaking area.
