A different kind of museum: just as the Romans once met at the Forum Romanum to trade, barter and chat, the former Roman fortress
Haus Bürgel will be transformed into a marketplace for one day to mark International Museum Day and bring history to life. 🏛️✨

From local delicacies from local vendors, second-hand clothing and bric-a-brac to an antique tavern, cosmetics and Roman arts and crafts - there is something for everyone! By buying only regional or second-hand products, we also want to set an example together for more sustainable shopping. 🪴💚

Registration for private flea market stalls is possible from February 15, 2026 via the registration form at www.hausbuergel.de

Price information:

Admission to the entire site costs €5.00 for adults. Free admission for children and young people up to the age of 18. The price includes admission to the Roman Museum, the guided tours of the exhibition rooms and the hands-on activities. Please note that there are no parking spaces available at Haus Bürgel, so please travel by public transport, bike or on foot.
