"First tea, then war " - Hilda and Martin, an elderly brother and sister, have fulfilled their dream of a little house with a garden, moved into the well-to-do Bluebell Hill and are enjoying the stunning view to the full. The view is only slightly spoiled by the unattractive social housing estate a little further away. They quickly get to know their new neighbors over tea and snacks. A colorful bunch with - well - tiny flaws. They have barely settled in when the middle-class idyll begins to crack. Martin has to chase an intruder off the property and a window is smashed. Everyone agrees. Action must be taken. The enemies are quickly identified: those over there from the housing estate. A fence is needed and Martin forms a vigilante group, which the increasingly paranoid neighbors are only too happy to join. The situation escalates and disaster ensues.
"Vigilante" is at once stunningly funny and deeply moral ... Evil exists - not outside our society, but in its midst. (The Observer)
