20 years ago Calexico released their outstanding album "Feast of Wire". To celebrate this anniversary, the band around Joey Burns and John Convertino announces an expanded reissue, which will be released on 26.05.2023.

Even before Calexico released their fourth album, it was hard to say where and how to classify the band. Since their debut album "Spoke" from 1996, the duo from Tucson, Arizona had developed a distinctive musical blend. The albums "The Black Light" (1998) and "Hot Rail" (2000) built on a freedom Joey and John had also exercised as part of Giant Sand until recently. "Feast of Wire" was the preliminary culmination with its brilliant blend of desert rock, Tex-Mex, Latin, late night jazz and spaghetti western sounds, immortalized in simply great songs and instrumentals.

Calexico has spent the better part of the last three decades exploring the dusty musical frontier of the American Southwest, writing unique, cinematic sounds as mysterious and grand as the arid desert landscapes that inspired them.

Later this year, Calexico will return to Germany for five dates in the summer and another four dates in the fall, where they will play "Feast of Wire" and celebrate with us.
