Cannabis Normal! Konferenz (CaNoKo24)

In the organizer's words:

On the last weekend in June, the German Hemp Association (DHV) invites you to its fourth Cannabis Normal! Conference (CaNoKo24) at the Alte Münze in Berlin. At the conference, all aspects of the new cannabis law will be discussed with experts. Shortly before the starting signal for the cultivation associations on July 1st, these are a special focus of the conference.

The aim of the Cannabis Normal! conferences of the DHV is to bring together representatives from science, politics and activism. With this in mind, at least 20 minutes will be reserved at the end of each session for questions from the audience. There will be plenty to discuss in view of the complicated law.

The event will kick off on Friday evening with the traditional panel discussion with representatives of the pro-legalization parties in the Bundestag.

On Saturday, the Cannabis Act will be examined from all sides in three simultaneous sessions:

When can you possess and consume what and where?

What rules must be observed when growing your own and how does it even work?

What changes are there regarding THC and driving licenses?

How have we made it this far and where do we go from here?

What changes are there for the use and prescription of cannabis as medicine?

What do cannabis investments with cryptocurrencies, 1-euro prescriptions and advertising kiffrap mean for the integrity of the industry?

There will be a number of sessions and perspectives on cultivation clubs, commonly referred to as Cannabis Social Clubs (CSCs), at the conference.

Representatives of traditional CSCs will talk about Lauterbach's grow clubs, where the use of cannabis is prohibited. Grow experts will talk about the considerable technical challenge of a cultivation facility for 500 members. Lawyers will explain the necessary requirements for an operating license in several sessions. Addiction experts will make suggestions on how prevention can work in CSCs. And finally, on Sunday, the founder of the controversial Mariana CSCs will answer critical questions from the community and the experts present.

We are particularly pleased to be able to welcome representatives of several state authorities responsible for growers' associations as guests at such a conference for the first time. Many federal states have not yet appointed the authorities that will be accepting applications from growers' associations in two weeks' time. Others have only just done so. So far, these authorities are black holes for the associations, which contributes to the uncertainty of those involved. We will therefore experience the first contact between two species, from which both sides should benefit.
