In the organizer's words:
With "Cantos", Polish choreographer Maciej Kuźmiński is developing a dance piece to the music of Simeon ten Holt's minimalist masterpiece "Canto Ostinato". The choreography is inspired by Henri Bergson's concept of "élan vital" - the vital momentum that drives human existence and desire - as well as by reflections on quantum systems, pure mathematics and the poet Dante. Kuźmiński, who often collaborates with his long-standing partner Paul Bargetto, presented their joint creation "Every Minute Motherland" at the Rhein-Main 2024 dance festival.
