It is frightening, but true: our everyday lives cannot function without coal, oil and gas. Fossil fuels enable mobility, provide electricity and heat. For decades, we have made ourselves dependent on them - and realized far too late what consequences this has. We live in a carbon culture! And the German Museum of Technology, as a museum of the fossil age, reflects this in its exhibitions.
"Carbon Culture" shows new perspectives on selected objects, encourages reflection and makes the museum a place for critical examination of a climate-damaging technological and cultural history.
