With "Love Vibrations", New York pianist Carlton Holmes presents his latest musical chapter. The Brooklyn-based artist is regarded as a sensitive virtuoso whose playing is driven by curiosity, experience and a deep musical education in equal measure. Whether classical music, African traditions or modern pop music - Holmes draws on a wide-ranging cosmos of sound that he has been refining for decades in exchange with the New York jazz scene.

Together with Wolfram Derschmidt on bass and Dusan Novakov on drums, Holmes forms a rhythm section that has already accompanied numerous international guests at the Café Museum Passau - including jazz greats such as Jazzmeia Horn, Mansur Scott, David Murray and Barbara Morrison. This long-standing collaboration has produced a sound that is precise, warm and unmistakably organic.

The program features original compositions by Carlton Holmes, complemented by selected classics and rarely played treasures from the jazz canon - works that Derschmidt and Novakov bring to life with their characteristic flair for form, energy and moments of surprise. The musical journey alternates effortlessly between bossa nova, swinging passages, funky grooves and tender ballads.

"Love Vibrations" is a tribute to the great role models of jazz as well as a gift to the audience. Every note is carried by respect, passion and the desire to make music an immediate experience.
