When Everything Was New / Acoustic in Germany

Australian musician Carus Thompson has sold over 30,000 albums and played with the likes of the John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, Seth Lakeman and Pete Murray. In 30 years on the road, he has built a large and loyal fan base worldwide through passionate, energetic, entertaining and engaging folk-rock shows.

Now he is returning to Europe with two new albums in his luggage. His ninth studio album "When Everything Was New" (vinyl only) and the live album "Acoustic In Germany".

"When Everything Was New" was recorded over the last two years in his hometown of Fremantle in Western Australia with producer and companion Nathan Gaunt. The album contains focused songs with collected life experiences: Little stories of love, loss and hope.

"Acoustic in Germany" is the third album in his acclaimed acoustic series. His 2003 release "Acoustic at the Norfolk" has made him one of Australia's most established and authentic singer-songwriters. After more than 20 years on German stages (his second home), another edition was needed. Recorded with an audience in the studio of his German label Valve-Records, the album shows the inspiring and emotional synthesis of his performances.

A Carus Thompson show is always a journey from quiet ballads to rock numbers to packed dance floors. His passionate and authentic pub rock performances inspire his audience and make every show unique.
