The story:

The story tells the tale of the boy Ivan, who sets out to find his bride, the beautiful Vasilisa. He learns from the firebird that she has been petrified by Kastschei, the immortal. In order to win her for himself, he must defeat the monster. Fortunately, the little firebird stands by Ivan's side as he proves his worth.

Fairytale of the Firebird enchanted with a great deal of imagination and poetry - Claudia Hann brings the fairytale to life with sparing means. Colorful decorations in silk painting, three hand puppets and a marionette are enough to cast a spell over the children. (Bonner Generalanzeiger)

Claudia Hann led the three large stick puppets and the firebird as a marionette with great sensitivity, demonstrating her playful and linguistic versatility and, above all, her enthusiasm for the play. It often felt as if the puppeteer had stepped back completely and only the figures were moving on stage.
