Catalino 'Tite' Curet Alonso Listenign session + exhibition
In the organizer's words:
Bonita Music and Astrid Rosero Curet present a special evening at Atemporal celebrating the centennial of legendary Puerto Rican composer and lyricist Catalino “Tite” Curet Alonso—the visionary songwriter behind some of the most beloved and influential songs in Latin music history. Created in close collaboration with Tite’s private family archive, this exclusive listening session will explore the life, work, and legacy of the Maestro through his iconic recordings and previously unseen archival material. From salsa classics such as “Anacaona,” “Las Caras Lindas,” and “Periódico de Ayer” to the roots of contemporary Latin music and culture, the evening offers a unique opportunity to experience the stories, struggles, and communities that shaped the soundtrack of generations across Latin America and the Caribbean. Alongside the listening session, guests will be able to explore a small installation and ephemera from the archive. We will also be presenting special merchandise created exclusively to mark this historic occasion. More than a celebration, this is an invitation to reconnect with one of the most important cultural legacies of the Americas through music, history, and collective memory.
