Catapults - Blame My Goose 3.0.
In the organizer's words:
A band likeCATAPULTSdidn’t come together because of its hometown, but rather in spite of it. In the northern German city of Oldenburg, the four band members—Lars, Joost, Malte, and Maurice—came together in 2017 to make the kind of music they so often missed in their local clubs. What began as a classic pop-punk project has since evolved into an emo/alternative rock band that enjoys an ever-growing cult following in Germany.
CATAPULTSgarnered attention right from the early years of the band’s history. With two self-produced and self-released EPs in two years, they toured various well-known clubs and festivals across Germany through the end of 2019, including Rock am Beckenrand, the Lautfeuer Festival in Lingen, and the Stemweder Open Air. Two years later,CATAPULTSfinally released their first album on the independent label Uncle M Music. “I’ll Be Honest” set the tone that would ultimately helpCATAPULTSfurther establish themselves: raw, emotional lyrics and ever-expanding musical variety, packaged in a sound that could just as easily come from international artists.
This approach culminated in 2025 with their second album, “I Hope You Heal,” whichCATAPULTSreleased this time without a label, but with the help of Blood Blast Records. It’s an album that delves deeply into the band’s lived experiences and their perspectives on the people around them. Above all, however, it showcases the band’s full range, from delicate acoustic songs to thunderous breakdowns.
With *I Hope You Heal* at the very latest,CATAPULTShave become a fixture in the German independent scene, and this is also evident in their live shows. Both headline tours the band embarked on in 2024 and 2025 drew thousands of fans to clubs across Germany. Lightheartedness, wit, and stage energy cranked to the max create an unmistakable sense of familiarity and exuberance between the band and their fans at their concerts. For this, they’ve now also gained international recognition. In 2026,CATAPULTSsupported the American emo icons Hot Mulligan at all their German stops on their EU tour and are seeing a steadily growing global audience on streaming services.
