In the organizer's words:

The German-Belgian jazz trio "Sounds and Grooves" began in 2001 with swinging vocal jazz with music by Miles Davis, Rodgers/Hart; Harold Arlen and George Gershwin, South American-inspired Latin jazz with music by the Brazilian composers António Carlos Jobim and Luíz Bonfá as well as originals by Michael Kotzian.

After many concerts and tours, they developed the program "Ce soir: Jazz français", in which French-language music from the chanson and film music genres meets jazz and swing music. They will be performing this program in Völklingen.

We are delighted to welcome Hilde Vanhove with vocals and presentation, Konstantin Wienstroer on double bass and Michael Kotzian as bandleader and pianist to Völklingen. The concert will consist of 2 sets of approx. 45 minutes each. Before the concert and during the interval, drinks will be on sale in the foyer in front of the Festsaal.
