We will start 30 minutes later. Registration 18.30 hrs. Start at 7 pm.

During the pandemic, online chess has experienced an enormous boom. Series such as The Queen's Gambit have generated additional enthusiasm - and many of us have played countless games on Lichess & Co.

We have now been meeting every month for over three years as an enthusiastic hobby community for speed chess - completely analog. Instead of a screen: a real board. Instead of avatars: real people. Touching pieces, feeling the tension at the table, then discussing the game, learning from each other and getting better together. This is what makes chess fun.

Anyone who is enthusiastic about chess but hasn't been playing in a club for years is invited. Example: You last played chess as a child, have now come across chess again and have now played several chess games on Lichess? You are very welcome.

Please note:
Everything is self-organized. It's all about the fun of chess. Because we are not equipped well enough, we ask you:
► Feel free to bring your chess set if you have one.
► A chess clock or alternatively an app on your smartphone would also be great. For example, lichess is well suited for this (free, opensource).

► If you are spontaneously unable to attend, please send me a short email to cancel your registration so that I can free up the space again.
► If all the places are already taken, you can send an email (ben.zschorn@scheune.org). We will then put you on the waiting list and let you know if places become available again.
► Please be there by 6.45 pm at the latest. After that, any places still available will be allocated to people who drop by spontaneously in the evening.

Rules:
► Rapid chess 10+5 (10 minutes thinking time + 5 seconds extra per move)
► Tournament mode: 6 rounds in the Swiss system
The main aim is to have fun playing chess!

Participation fee:
►We would be very happy if you throw 5 € to 15 € into the cash box so that we can cover the costs.
