On December 8, 2025, the door will open to a special Christa Wolf reading hour - an evening that will make you want to immerse yourself in the powerful, searching and linguistically adventurous texts of one of Germany's most important writers. Christa Wolf's work, written over more than five decades, remains a lively interlocutor in turbulent times: surprising, self-questioning, intense.

The idea of these reading sessions, inspired by the Christa Wolf Society, thrives on encounters: people sit together - in bars, cafés or bookshops - and share texts, thoughts and impressions. This creates a space in which literature can be heard and experienced.

The evening is aimed at everyone, regardless of whether they are already familiar with Christa Wolf's books or are completely new and curious. Thanks to a relaxed moderation, texts, drinks and an open atmosphere, the author is easy to discover - without any prior knowledge or preparation.
