Illustrator Nadine Prange in conversation with Corinna Huffman & Lea-Marie Rabe

As the only literary book community in Germany, the Büchergilde Gutenberg presents its members with a curated program four times a year: entertaining and sophisticated literature, exclusive illustrations and unique design. In December, the Büchergilde will be a guest at the Literaturhaus Leipzig with program director Corinna Huffman, Lea-Marie Rabe from the editorial team and illustrator Nadine Prange. After an insight into the concept and program of the Büchergilde, Ms. Hiuffman and Ms. Rabe will talk with Nadine Prange about the illustrated Büchergilde edition of the classic "Kassandra", for which Prange created expressive pictures with a reduced color palette and broad strokes.

In "Kassandra", the multi-award-winning author Christa Wolf tells of the Trojan War from a female perspective and criticizes patriarchal structures - a novel more topical than ever. The illustrator will talk about her work with the Büchergilde, give an insight into the process of creating her illustrations and answer questions about the role that time and myth play in her drawings.

Discounts are available for disabled people and their companions (only if registered in the disabled pass), unemployed people, pupils and students (up to 35) as well as holders of the Leipzig Pass or an honorary pass, in each case only on presentation of the pass.
