On March 22, jazz guitarist and composer Christina Zurhausen invites you to a special solo evening at the Rabbit Hole Theater in Essen. With guitar and vocals, she creates an intimate sound space between jazz, soul and pop - personal, poetic and full of surprising twists and turns.

Christina's music draws from many sources: from the rough charm of the Ruhr region, from the mysterious world of Franz Kafka, from surreal images à la Twin Peaks and from the small and big, often curious stories of life. Her own compositions tell of observations, memories and moments that touch, resonate or quietly and charmingly irritate.

In addition to her own pieces, Christina interprets selected jazz standards as well as well-known songs from soul and pop in her very own way - reduced, honest and with a great feeling for sound and mood. Between songs, she gives insights into her musical world and shares personal anecdotes that make the concert an approachable, lively encounter.
