Christmas Fermentation
In the organizer's words:
FESTIVE FERMENTS – YOUR INTRODUCTION TO FERMENTATION
Fermentation Made Easy—Wintery, Creative, and Really Good for You.
In this seasonal beginner’s workshop, we’ll give fermentation a festive twist. At the PlantAmour Food Lab, you’ll learn the basics of fermentation and make your own winter vegetable ferment with selected spices. With easy-to-understand theory, plenty of hands-on practice, and a delightful tasting session, we’ll dive together into the world of fermented foods—for more flavor, a healthy gut, and wholesome winter cooking.
After a brief introduction to lactic acid fermentation and why fermented foods are so beneficial for our bodies, we’ll dive right into the hands-on part: Together, we’ll chop, season, and ferment seasonal winter vegetables. Using winter spices like cinnamon, star anise, cloves, or orange, we’ll create extraordinary fermented dishes that are perfect for the Advent and Christmas season—as a side dish, a homemade gift, or a special highlight on the holiday table.
