Ella Fitzgerald was probably the most popular jazz singer in the United States for more than half a century and is still regarded as one of the greatest voices in jazz history. She won 13 Grammy Awards, sold over 40 million albums and performed on stage with legends such as Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra. She also enjoyed a close musical collaboration with the brilliant guitarist Joe Pass.

The Danish jazz singer Dorte Lindum dedicates her program to Ella Fitzgerald on this evening
"All Ella - A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald". Together with the equally brilliant guitarist Philipp Stauber - a former student of Joe Pass - she interprets selected classics from Ella's repertoire with great elegance, swing and joy of playing.

With Sven Faller on bass and Michael Keul on drums - both highly renowned German jazz musicians with many years of experience in the USA and Germany - the quartet is complete: a line-up that brings Ella Fitzgerald's music to life with respect, depth and a lively jazz feeling.
