When Christoph Fritz meets his mother, they shake hands to greet each other.
Sometimes he craves closeness so much that he is happy to receive spam emails or letters addressed to the previous tenant.
But since you shouldn't reply to spam mails and opening other people's letters secretly over steam isn't a permanent solution either, he goes in search of intimacy, which he finds in places where he wouldn't have expected it.
A remote street in France, a nocturnal garden in Lower Austria or a urologist's surgery become the scenes of unexpected tenderness.
