Italy and music - in no other country does music have a comparable significance. More than any other art, it is able to explain the country and answer all the questions that have been asked thousands of times.

Eric Pfeil was born in 1969 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, and soon after crossed the Alps for the first time. At the turn of the millennium, he was the producer of the legendary music show Fast Forward and has been a sought-after TV author ever since. He writes about film, literature and pop music and its consequences for the FAZ and Rolling Stone, among others. He lives in Cologne, but has never left Italy again ... and has already inspired with Azzurro, his first "travel guide without sights".
