Circle of Happiness Live — Roughhouse feat. Eliane

With the Circle of Happiness concert evening, Atelier P1 is expanding its cultural program with a special musical encounter. On Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 18:00, the internationally renowned artist Roughhouse and flutist Eliane Hobbing will present their joint acoustic project in the rooms of Galerie P1.

The music of Circle of Happiness combines singer-songwriter, pop, reggae and world music influences to create a warm, organic and atmospheric sound. With voice,

guitar and flute, the result is an intense live experience that takes the audience on a shared musical journey and creates an atmosphere full of connection, presence and shared energy.

Originally from Jamaica and now living in Dortmund, Roughhouse has worked with Patrice, Gentleman, Samy Deluxe, Max Herre and Die Fantastischen Vier, among others, over the course of his career. Together with Eliane Hobbing, he founded the acoustic duo Circle of Happiness, which thrives on musical closeness, emotional depth and spontaneous moments and expresses positive, unifying messages.

The concert will take place alongside the ongoing exhibition AUFBRUCH, which can be seen at Atelier P1 until May 17. The exhibition with works by Bodo Bender and guest artist Rainer Krampe sees itself as an open dialog between different forms of artistic expression and thus creates the perfect setting for an evening of sound, art and encounters.

With this concert evening, Atelier P1 presents itself as a place for contemporary art, cultural exchange and special atmospheric experiences in the district.
