With "the different New Year's concert", we want to encourage hope, confidence and openness to new things. Different, because we recommend less waltzes and more world music, for example, without losing the connection to local sounds. The "Orchestra of Cultures", under the direction of Adrian Werum, has set itself the task of reinventing traditional pieces of music in a fusion of orchestral sounds with ethnic instruments from all over the world.
To accompany the diverse musical arrangements, actress Claudia Michelsen reads gems from poetry and literature, sometimes cheerful, sometimes thought-provoking. Whether at the Berliner Volksbühne, the Deutsches Theater Berlin or the Salzburg Festival: Claudia Michelsen is one of the acting greats of our time and has been known to a broad public for many years in numerous film and television events. Whether as Magdeburg chief inspector Doreen Brasch in "Polizeiruf 110" or the internationally successful "Ku'damm" series. In addition to her film career, Claudia Michelsen regularly reads from the works of important authors and records audio books.
