Clay Picnic – Sommer-Edition 2026 an der Außenalster

A relaxing Sunday on the Außenalster with clay, a picnic, and some creative time: At the Clay Picnic, you’ll design your own little photo or card holder out of clay. You’ll learn the basics of free-form sculpting, work with texture, surface, and details, and develop a sturdy, personalized piece—all without a potter’s wheel and with no prior experience required. We’ll work outdoors on picnic blankets and wrap up the afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere with snacks, drinks, and time to chat.

All materials, tools, glaze, and firing are included, as well as snacks and drinks. Your piece will then be finished in the studio and will be ready for pickup in about 4–8 weeks.

Please bring a picnic blanket or something to sit on, as well as comfortable clothing. The workshop is weather-dependent; in case of heavy rain, an alternative date will be offered or the workshop will be moved to the studio. You’ll receive the exact meeting spot on the Außenalster three days before the event.
