COLOGNE COMEDY FESTIVAL: Sebastian 23 - Lesung "Alles wird gut"

Sebastian 23 - also known as mondschaf23 on social media - writes about 5712 simple ways to save the world. Very concrete, practical, determined - and above all optimistic and with humor. Because it's important to laugh at yourself once in a while and not take everything deadly seriously. After all, it's all about the future of humanity.

For many years, Sebastian 23 has been working intensively on the topics of "environmental protection", "transportation transition" and "climate crisis". As the father of two children, he is not the only one who is concerned about the future. As a poetry slammer and comedian, he speaks on stage and online in front of thousands of people about everything that concerns him. And despite his justified worries, Sebastian 23 is certain that everything will be fine! Or rather: it can be good if we don't let ourselves be paralyzed by all the gloomy prospects and bad news. The world will not come to an end. Because we still have the power to change many things for the better if we take action. It will certainly not be an easy path, perhaps even more than 5712 steps will be necessary.

But from Sebastian 23's point of view, there are also positive tipping points: For him, these are the moments when we decide to "leap through the darkness into the light". When we are driven by hope, when we take action and succeed in finding a different solution to the issue of mobility, for example: Without the use of fossil fuels and yet affordable and barrier-free for everyone. This is far more than just green dreaming, because some cities in Europe, such as Amsterdam or Copenhagen, have long since demonstrated that the idea of a virtually car-free city center is feasible. Why shouldn't this also be possible in Bochum, Berlin or Baden-Baden? Or in cities without a B?

Sebastian 23, real name Sebastian Rabsahl, born in 1979, is a slam poet, author and comedian. He has over 100,000 followers on social media as @mondschaf23.
