This workshop invites participants to reflect on how colonial histories continue to shape everyday life through seemingly ordinary objects. Personal belongings serve as entry points into shared neighborhood histories shaped by migration, displacement, trade, and resistance. Rather than treating objects as museum artifacts, the workshop activates them as living witnesses to colonial entanglements in the present.

Through collective listening and gentle artistic reflection, Objects & Memory Lab creates a temporary counter-archive—not to preserve the past, but to question how memory, belonging, and colonial power circulate within the neighborhood today.

Participants are invited to bring one personal object connected to their own or inherited histories.
