Comedy Slam im Metropolis Kino Bochum

Comedy meets poetry slam—and the audience wins: At the Comedy Slam, the Metropolis Kino, right next to Bochum’s main train station, becomes the funniest stage in town. Experienced comedy acts and daring newcomers compete with stand-up, humorous slam poems, and comedic storytelling—and you help decide who takes home the prize at the end of the night.

Instead of a long solo set, you’ll experience a rapid-fire succession of very different styles, voices, and forms of humor—and it’s precisely this mix that makes every evening unique. As befits a true slam, it’s not a panel of experts who decides, but the audience in the theater. The evening is hosted by Essen-based poetry slammer Marius Hanke, aka Zwergriese—as warm and welcoming as ever, with the humorous charm of Wednesday Addams.
