COMPANIONS - Exhibition by Caroline Weingart
In the organizer's words:
For the English version, see below:
"Companions" is an exhibition that explores the skeletons of imaginary creatures. Visitors are invited to let their imagination and creativity run wild at Flutgraben e.V.
In the middle of the room lie outstretched limbs, cast in plaster. Some of their bones extend up to 4 meters and are laid on the floor as if in a final movement. On the walls, paintings complement the bodies of these companions from another primeval era.
Especially in times when algorithms and artificial intelligence shape our everyday lives, the exhibition encourages visitors to reconnect with their own intuition. How might this imaginary creature have lived in the past? Where did it come from? How did it move and function? All such questions are also intended to foster a space for dialogue and exchange.
“Companions” is the master’s thesis project by Caroline Weingart, who studied scenography at the Babelsberg Film School.
