////WHAT: The opening concert of our winter/spring season and premiere at our new venue - Alte Welt!

A 60 minute concert featuring works by German, American, Dutch and French women composers - spanning nearly 160 years of history.

During turbulent times, music allows us to connect and converse beyond the limitations of language and logic; come explore with us the importance of listening, while discovering the music and stories revolving around these remarkable composers.

Featuring music for voice, flute, cello and piano, the event will last roughly an hour and a half in total (concert and post-concert gathering) - all whilst enjoying drinks and snacks in the "opulent salon-like" atmosphere of Alte Welt.

///WHY: Because for various reasons, the contributions of many women in music have been forgotten over the decades and centuries, but we are here to change that! Let's continue and deepen the conversation about female composers and to keep spreading their great music.

- Lysistrata Chamber Collective, founded in Spring 2023, is an international ensemble based in Berlin whose aim is to promote and make more accessible music by female composers from the past and the present. The group (voice, flute, cello & piano) performs in all ensemble combinations creating concert programs especially appreciated by the public for their variety of colors and styles.

///WHAT: The opening concert of our winter/spring season and the premiere in our new venue - the Alte Welt! We will be performing works by German, American, Dutch and French composers spanning almost 160 years of music history.

Especially in uncertain times, music gives us the opportunity to get in touch with each other beyond the boundaries of language and logic and to be there for each other.

The event with music for voice, flute, cello and piano will last about one and a half hours (concert followed by a get-together) - and all this with drinks and snacks in the cozy and unique atmosphere of the Alte Welt.

///WHY: Because good music should not go unheard! For various reasons, the musical contributions of many women have been forgotten over the decades and centuries - we bring these sunken treasures to the surface and offer you and us the chance to make up for lost time and bring silenced voices back to life.
