CPT. KRK & MR. SMRT RELEASE KONZERT

Two musicians, one vibe: the nostalgic time travelers Cpt. Krk & Mr. Smrt navigate through the infinite expanses of DIY pop. Equipped with vintage drum machines, loop stations, synthesizers and guitars, their musical spaceship is on its way to explore worlds of sound and emotion.

To mark the release of their first EP SORRY, DIY, they are playing a concert in the cozy Theater Boka.

Behind Cpt. Krk & Mr. Smrt is the singer/songwriter duo Florian Glässing and Tobias Ebert from Berlin. Musically, they come from the indie planetary system of Tom Liwa, Niels Frevert, Gisbert zu Knyphausen and Die Höchste Eisenbahn, with whom Florian Glässing has already toured. Together with Desiree Klaeukens, he also wrote and produced the songs for her highly acclaimed debut WENN DIE NACHT DEN TAG VERDECKT, before releasing his own album ALTE LIEBE in 2019, about which Rolling Stone wrote: "A late classic."

After Florian Glässing and Tobias Ebert performed their own songs together for some time and Tobias recorded his EP KEINER with Florian, they decided to write songs together and perform as the performance project Cpt. Krk & Mr. Smrt. Krk stands for the Croatian island where Tobias prefers to spend his vacations - Smrt is also Croatian and means "death". Their musical journey takes Florian and Tobias away from the introverted singer/songwriter gesture and together they develop a new sound that has its roots in traditional songwriting, but breaks out into new sound universes with warp drive.
