Creative Hand Building Ceramics Workshop - in Berlin, Germany

In the organizer's words:

While exploring new forms through her series of vessels, artist Keegan Luttrell aims to view the object as a body, using inspirations from nature and medieval armour to protect each vase. She explores these forms of protection through various techniques and is just beginning learning ancient firing methods.

Keegan Luttrell is an American multi-media artist living and working in Berlin. She completed her MFA in sculpture at Mills College in Oakland, California, and graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Art History, Theory and Criticism and a concentration in Photography.

The artist has already exhibited her works in Berlin, London, Geneva, Athens, San Francisco, Oakland, New York City, Austin, Baltimore and Boston. Keegan explores themes of vulnerability, fear and protection, emphasizing the most fragile aspects of human existence through sculpture, video and performance.
