It's that time again! On Thursday, April 25, we cordially invite you to the next CREATIVE SESSION at PERLE. To conclude our discussion series, this time we will be focusing on the Munich art scene. Together with various players in the scene, we would like to gain insights into the state of the industry and discuss current trends, challenges and future opportunities. What is the state of the Munich art scene?

As a metropolis for art and culture, Munich has had a thriving art scene for centuries. Even in the days of the Bavarian kings, the state capital was considered "the place to be" for the fine arts and cast a spell over painters and sculptors alike.

But where does Munich's art scene actually stand today? How active is the city's art scene and how has the industry changed as a result of digital trends? How do Munich's artists live and work? How can art survive in times of tight budgets, what funding is needed? Where can the state capital support the art scene and which institutions are advancing the visual arts in Munich? Under the moderation of Paula von der Heydt (Munich Innovation Crew), we want to shed light on these topics together with players in the scene and thus get a comprehensive picture of the Munich art industry.

The PERLE is a new interim use by MUCBOOK CLUBHAUS in cooperation with STEINCHEN KULTURCAFÉ and serves as a new cultural venue for debate, culture, art and inspiration in Laim. The aim of the interim use, which is supported by the Free State of Bavaria, the City of Munich, the district committee and the developer Urban Progress, is to create a feel-good place and meeting point for Munich's creative and cultural scene, but also for the residents of Laim.

Many thanks at this point also to the facilitators of this series of events: Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy & bayernkreativ, who acted as experts.

The interim use is made possible by the developer Urban Progress.
