On January 17, we will be showing "Misery" in the original English version with German subtitles at the Creepy Crypt. The movie is based on a book by Stephen King and won Kathy Bates an Oscar. If you haven't seen the movie, then you need to mark the day in your calendar in red! But even if you've already seen it, it's worth watching again and again 😉

Paul Sheldon is a famous novelist who is writing the sequel to his bestselling "Misery" series in a remote mountain cabin. When he tries to return to New York, he is caught in a snowstorm. Due to the difficult weather conditions, his car leaves the road and is destroyed. The former nurse Annie Wilkes rescues Sheldon from the wrecked car and nurses him back to health at her home because of the persistently bad weather. Out of gratitude, Sheldon lets the woman, who is one of his biggest fans, read the manuscript of the new novel. But Annie, whose fanatical enthusiasm goes so far that she has even named her pet pig Misery, is not exactly pleased when she reads about the death of the main character. Her displeasure soon puts Sheldon in danger.
