Inspired by his Irish roots, the band's leader Markus Strothmann has given his own compositions an exciting Celtic feel. In this way, he succeeds in expanding the color palette of jazz with emerald green.

The music lives from a deep atmosphere reminiscent of the rough Irish sea, massive rocky coasts and vast landscapes. Singer Kai Ringler authentically conveys the lyrics, which are performed in English and Irish. Guitarist Alex Florin creates images of faraway places with his guitar sounds, while Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cuñado provides a virtuoso foundation in the bass range.

Fiete Felsch transports melodies on saxophone and flute, which are brilliantly played around by Martin Zamorano on the piano. Composer and drummer Markus Strothmann provides the subtle and communicative percussive basis.

This band comprises top-class musicians. Fiete Felsch, for example, is the first saxophonist with the NDR Bigband and professor of saxophone and improvisation at the University of Music and Drama in Hamburg.
