From Klezmer, Balkan and Eastern European sounds to Scandinavia, France, Celtic and North German roots: the seven-piece band Hepta Polka transports a musical energy with a variety of instruments, enormous virtuosity and the knowledge of good arrangements, which transports folkloric traditions with international access into the present day.

The former music students from Hamburg have been playing together since 2017 and have already got many people moving with their many instruments and their groove. Their music is folk music in the broadest sense and, with its crossover arrangements, fits in perfectly with Crossdorf's philosophy. They have already played at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Hamburg's FABRIK and various other cultural temples, and we are delighted that they are getting our 7th Crossdorf Festival off to a lively start.

Hepta Polka are: Torge Nonn (soprano sax, clarinet, etc.), Bandik Nonn (bass), Finn Stamer (violin, Hardanger fiddle), Giacomo José Schmidt (violin, mandolin), Robin Klein (button accordion), Matthias Greenslade (guitar) and Daniel Jo Schierhorn (percussion).
