CURRENT - ART AND URBAN SPACE 2025
June 26 - July 27, 2025, Stuttgart

In its third edition, the transdisciplinary festival is dedicated to the topic of "air" in its social, political, ecological and material dimensions. Over the course of a month, artistic works can be experienced in the urban space, complemented by performances, walks, workshops, symposia and family programs.

Focus Weekend I (26.-29.6.)
Grand opening ceremony on June 26 at Marienplatz, plus performances, workshops, walks and family Sunday with Diversorium, Dreaming in Women*, Göksu Kunak, Mila Panić and Selma Selman, among others.

Focus Weekend II (3.-6.7.)
Symposium RECLAIM AIR! (3.-4.7., Württembergischer Kunstverein) on air as a common good. Performances, screenings, interventions, walks and family program. With contributions by Donya Ahmadifar, Haseeb Ahmed, Sofia Dona, Elke Krasny, Love Ssega and others.

Focus Weekend III (25.-27.7.)
Interventions in the historic Stuttgart-Ost water reservoir, organ concert, readings, audio formats, children's program. With Anahita Razmi, Citizen.KANE.Kollektiv, Johanna Ackva, Judith Milz, Cécile Kobel and Raul Walch, among others.
Special highlight: Der letzte Atemzug / El último respiro (Citizen.KANE.Kollektiv & Maite Román) and Exspiration(Donya Ahmadifar, Bobby Sayyar and others). In cooperation with the Freie Tanz- und Theaterszene Stuttgart.
