Daido Moriyama (*1938, Osaka) gilt als einer der originellsten und einflussreichsten Künstler:innen der Gegenwart. Unter der Maxime „are, bure, boke“ (körnig, verwackelt, aus dem Fokus) wurden seine avantgardistischen Arbeiten und seine einzigartige Ästhetik stilprägend für eine ganze Generation. C/O Berlin präsentiert in einer umfassenden Retrospektive rund 250 Arbeiten sowie Dutzende noch nie zuvor ausgestellte Fotobücher und Magazine.
Daido Moriyama (b.1938, Osaka) is considered one of the most innovative and influential artists of our day. Known by the Japanese catchphrase ‘are, bure, boke’ (grainy, blurry, out of focus) his avant-garde works and unique aesthetic went on to define an entire generation. C/O Berlin presents a comprehensive retrospective with around 250 works as well as dozens of rare photo books and magazines.
