The American Danny Grissett is a musician who refreshes the old school with new ideas, who knows how to unite the history of modern jazz piano with the trends of the time. This masterfully swinging, elegant stylist is one of the best piano players of our time. Twenty years ago, the Californian moved to New York and played with the greatest of the greatest, such as trumpeters Tom Harrell and Nicholas Payton. He soon recorded his first of five solo albums for the Dutch label Criss Cross and later played with Pee Wee Ellis, Jeremy Pelt, Lage Lund, Buster Williams and countless others. His most recent recording for Savant Records, "Remembrance", received 4 out of 5 stars in Downbeat Magazine.
