Together with star saxophonist Asya Fateyeva, the treppenhausorchester presents the "Polar Concert in the Dark" at Kiel Castle:

The audience is led into the darkness and experiences a live radio play about the polar explorers Robert Falcon Scott and Roald Amundsen, who in 1911, in their attempt to be the first humans to reach the South Pole, engage in a fierce and deadly race through the icy expanses of the Antarctic.

The well-known voice actors Timmo Niesner (Elijah Wood) and Martin Kautz (Jon Bernthal) interweave the touching and harrowing story that kept the world in suspense that year with compositions by Philip Glass and the sisters Nadia and Lili Boulanger.
