The party - Thomas Vinterberg
Hotelier Helge, the head of the Klingenfeldt-Hansen family, gathers his whole family together at an idyllic Danish country inn to celebrate his 60th birthday. But the idyllic appearance is deceptive, as the celebration quickly goes off the rails. During a speech by Helge's eldest son Christian, dark family secrets come to light that give the party a dramatic twist. The whole thing turns into a nightmare.
