Das große Schlossgartenfest in Rheinsberg am 16. Mai 2026

Rheinsberg invites you to the third Palace Garden Festival on May 16, 2026. To mark the 300th birthday of Prince Henry of Prussia (1726-1802), the program in the anniversary year h300 is particularly varied - a festival for all the senses in Henry's beloved garden and palace.

The festive day begins at 13:00 with a kick-off event in the palace courtyard. The castle is open from 10:00 a.m. with Free admission. There will be guided tours of the castle and garden, providing exciting insights into Heinrich Rheinsberg's time.

One highlight is the grand display of orangery plants, which traditionally takes place in Park Sanssouci in Potsdam, but this year will be celebrated in Rheinsberg. Orangery gardeners will demonstrate care techniques and give tips for potted plants. Music, readings and dancing await guests in the Heckentheater. The Rheinsberg Education Campus presents a musical in the castle courtyard.

The historic Möskefest, where the church is traditionally decorated with woodruff (Möske) for the Whitsun festival around Ascension Day, will be celebrated from 10:00 - 11:00. With the Actionbound app, visitors can get to know Prince Henry better in an interactive quiz - the QR code can be found on the castle grounds.
