On a remote island in the Pacific, psychologist Kristina, sociologist Hannes, neuro-economist and manipulation artist André and neurobiologist Ann are working on a dream: to market artificially produced meat so irresistibly that no animal has to die for a burger. The price is astronomical, the chances minimal - and yet everything is at stake: climate, ethics, fame.

But while the disparate team is feverishly trying to work together to program the human reward center for a paradigm shift, a completely different experiment is going on in the background.

The team is losing control - curious, manipulative and always ready to get to the bottom of the inhabitants' most secret desires, something is moving in the shadows and secretly pulling the strings.

What begins as a scientific challenge turns into a psychological labyrinth. Boundaries become blurred, experiment and test subject become one, and the question is no longer how far you can go...
